About Us

Sorya Pao, MSW, LICSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker/ therapist in Washington. I received my Master’s Degree from the University of Washington and continued my post-graduate training in the Seattle area. As a Cambodian-American woman, I enjoy working with AAPI clients and I welcome individuals of all backgrounds to my practice. It is my passion to support in healing and expansion through a culturally sensitive lens for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship/attachment concerns.

Therapy is a deeply personal choice and can be profoundly impactful on your life in many ways. I believe that therapy is one of the most valuable tools for self-exploration and healing painful past memories when done in a safe environment. I strive to honor you as the expert in your life and we will tailor the work we do in a way that highlights the positive skills that you already hold within yourself. Achieving and maintaining an ideal life looks different for everyone. I believe in a holistic perspective that utilizes talk therapy and somatic approaches to meet your needs. I am trained in a variety of approaches including evidence-based trauma treatments, cognitive-behavioral therapy, experiential self-compassion and relational neuroscience, mindfulness stress reduction, and attachment-based therapy. I consider myself a lifelong learner and strive to refine my skills and education regularly through ongoing learning, continuing education, and consultation.
